CPU (Procesador)

CPU (Procesador): En el mundo pueden encontrarse básicamente cuatro tipos de procesadores. Sin embargo, en Costa Rica los más conocidos y usados son los Intel y AMD.
La velocidad de una computadora no es igual a la velocidad de un CPU. Es decir, la velocidad depende no del CPU, sino más bien de la cantidad de la memoria y la velocidad del disco duro. De este modo, la utilización de Internet, correo electrónico, Word, Excel, etc. no se determinan a partir del CPU. Desde la
Pentium III 700Mhz, el trabajo de Word, Excel, etc.  se ha realizado rápidamente gracias a la incorporación de la memoria. El desempeño del CPU no aporta aspectos significativos.
Sin embargo, para el desempeño de algunos programas, se requiere de una capacidad alta  de CPU, por ejemplo la codificación del video, edición de gráficos,  juego de 3D, etc.

Sin embargo, le ofrecemos una  lista para referencia en la clasificación del, CPU.


Orden de la velocidad de CPU

Aquí se presentan las velocidades, desde el más rápido hasta el más lento.
Las primeras dos columnas muestran que, aún siendo de diferentes compañías, los procesadores guardan la misma velocidad.
Comparación de Northwood: El valor se puede comparar a base de Pentium4 3.0. El valor es el mismo aunque vengan de diferentes compañías.
